In Manhattan, 30 Hudson Yards is a newly developed skyscraper and the second-tallest office building in New York City. Among the tenants is Wells Fargo Securities, which purchased more than 500,000 square feet of office space over nine floors. On two of those floors is the firm’s trading operations. With the high pressure that comes with trading securities, Wells Fargo took steps to create a workspace design that would support the well-being of its traders.
In addition to lighting and architectural elements, a 6-foot-wide by 29-foot-high Planar® DirectLight® X LED Video Wall System was installed on a wall surface directly in front of an open staircase connecting the firm’s two trading floors. The LED video wall is dedicated to displaying nature-focused imagery shot in 8K portrait, instilling a calming experience and a reprieve from the stress of the trading floor.
